Experience

I enjoy being a tutor because I like helping students be successful. I feel that learning can be fun if it is presented in the right way. In high school history was one of my least favorite subjects. Once I got to college I discovered how history shapes the world we know today and how important and interesting it is. As a tutor and future teacher I hope to help students understand the importance of whatever subject they may be learning. When students see the importance of a subject they are more likely to do well in it. I think all students can be successful regardless of their past experience with school. Hobbies

I recently returned from Limerick, Ireland where I attended the University of Limerick on exchange from MSU. This experience allowed me to meet and interact with many new and different people. It was an incredible experience that helped me see and understand the world in a new light. I graduated high school in 2003 and began attending the College of Southern Idaho the same year. In 2005 I graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. I worked as a certified vet tech for five years before returning to school to pursue a career in education. I am glad I have the experience of working in a vet clinic as it taught me to work with many different kinds of people. I am also glad I am a little older as I embark on my education career. I feel being more mature and having more life experience is important when working with students, especially high school age students. I am available Sunday through Friday in the afternoons and evenings. On Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday I am available from 2pm. On Tuesday and Thursday I am available from 3:30pm. I am happy to meet students on the MSU campus especially on weekdays. I can also meet students in Belgrade, especially on Sundays.
